Engineering, Simulation and Project Control

Integrated CAD, CAM and CAE Support

Our team uses Pro/E, SolidWorks, Unigraphics, AutoCAD, CATIA and MasterCAM for structural modeling, drawings and CNC programming, together with AnyCasting for mold filling simulation and casting deformation analysis.

The simulation image shows the filling progression from the initial flow to a complete fill. The flow channel is set at the center, supporting smooth filling without visible air entrainment in the supplied simulation material.

Full-Process Tooling Management

FUERD supports product structure optimization, engineering change revision, prototype mold development, sample trial production, mold maintenance and after-sales support.

Standardized control covers mold design, process optimization, precision CNC machining, assembly, mold trial, mass-production preparation, packaging and delivery logistics.

Material and Service Life

LPDC and gravity casting molds use imported high-grade mold steel such as SKD61 and DC53, with professional vacuum heat treatment and ultra-precision grinding. These treatments improve high-temperature resistance, deformation resistance and wear resistance during continuous casting production.

How Custom LPDC Mold Development Works

Each project follows a controlled development path from customer drawings and equipment requirements through verified mold trial, dimensional inspection and export delivery.

  1. Requirement Review: We review the 2D drawing, 3D model, alloy, casting machine, production volume and application requirements.
  2. Structure and Process Design: Engineers optimize the parting line, feeding, ventilation, cooling, sliders and sand core structure where required.
  3. Flow and Deformation Simulation: AnyCasting analysis helps evaluate filling behavior, flow channel layout and potential deformation before machining.
  4. Precision Machining: Gantry machining, EDM, drilling and precision grinding produce the mold components and cavity surfaces.
  5. Assembly and Trial Casting: The mold is assembled, trialed and adjusted to verify fit, filling and casting quality.
  6. Inspection and Export Delivery: Dimensional reports, material certificates, qualification documents and standardized packaging support overseas delivery and PPAP preparation.

Quality Control and Export Support

FUERD has passed ISO9001 and TS16949 international quality system certifications. Full-process quality control covers mold structure, simulation, precision CNC machining, trial casting, dimensional accuracy inspection and standardized export packaging.

Before delivery, each mold undergoes repeated trial verification and strict quality detection. We provide material certification reports, full-dimensional inspection reports and factory qualification certificates to support overseas clients with PPAP certification and stable mass production.

International modular design enables easier disassembly, daily maintenance, fast die change and component interchangeability. We also customize tooling to local equipment specifications and production conditions.

Custom LPDC Mold FAQs

Q1. What types of low pressure casting molds does FUERD manufacture?

FUERD manufactures custom LPDC and gravity casting molds, including H13 steel precision molds, ductile iron molds, constant-temperature water-cooled molds, side-slider molds and molds with sand core structures.

Q2. What mold materials are available?

Our LPDC and gravity casting molds use imported high-grade mold steel such as SKD61 and DC53, together with vacuum heat treatment and precision grinding for high-temperature and wear resistance.

Q3. What information is needed to design a custom mold?

Please provide a 2D drawing or 3D model, aluminum alloy, casting machine brand and specifications, target production volume, critical tolerances, surface requirements and any special slider or sand core requirements.

Q4. Can FUERD simulate mold filling before machining?

Yes. FUERD uses AnyCasting for mold filling simulation and casting deformation analysis. Simulation helps evaluate the flow channel, filling progression and potential deformation before the tooling is completed.

Q5. Are the molds compatible with overseas casting machines?

Our export-grade LPDC and gravity casting molds use modular standard design and can be customized for local equipment specifications. The tooling is designed to support mainstream global casting machine brands and overseas mass production.

Q6. What quality and export documents are provided?

Supporting documents can include material certification reports, full-dimensional inspection reports, factory qualification certificates and other qualification materials required for overseas inspection and PPAP preparation.
