Key advantages of 6061-T6 semi-solid die casting (Rheocasting):
T6 Heat Treatable: Dense, low-porosity castings support stable T6 heat treatment for improved strength and structural stability.
High Mechanical Strength: Suitable for load-bearing structural parts and demanding industrial applications.
Full Anodizing Capability: Finished parts can be anodized, colored or coated for appearance and corrosion resistance.
Mass-Production Efficiency: Rheocasting supports repeatable, high-efficiency production of precision 6061 aluminum components.
6061-T6 Semi-Solid Die Casting (Rheocasting) at Ningbo Fuerd
Unlike conventional die casting alloys, 6061 aluminum supports both T6 heat treatment and anodizing. Our semi-solid die casting (Rheocasting) process creates a dense microstructure with low porosity and minimal internal shrinkage, helping cast parts maintain consistent performance during heat treatment and precision machining.
Our integrated capabilities include 6061-T6 semi-solid die casting (Rheocasting), low-pressure casting, gravity casting, T6 heat treatment, multi-axis CNC machining and surface finishing. This allows one supplier to support your project from casting blank to ready-to-assemble precision component.

How 6061-T6 Semi-Solid Die Casting (Rheocasting) Works
Rheocasting controls the 6061 aluminum alloy in a partially solidified, semi-solid state before die forming. Compared with conventional high-speed die casting, the process helps reduce trapped gas and internal shrinkage, producing a denser casting suitable for T6 heat treatment, precision machining and decorative or protective surface finishing.
Drawing and DFM Review: Our engineering team reviews geometry, tolerance, machining allowance and application requirements.
Tooling Development: The mold and process plan are developed for stable filling and repeatable production.
Semi-Solid Preparation: 6061 aluminum is prepared in a controlled semi-solid state suitable for rheocasting.
Rheocasting: The semi-solid aluminum is formed under controlled pressure to create a dense, low-porosity casting.
Trimming and Cleaning: Runners, flash and excess material are removed from the casting.
T6 Heat Treatment: The casting is heat treated to improve mechanical strength and structural stability.
Precision CNC Machining: Critical surfaces, holes, threads and complex features are machined to drawing requirements.
Finishing and Inspection: Parts are deburred, finished, inspected and prepared for anodizing, coating or assembly as required.
